Christmas and Winter on Dartmoor

Spend Christmas or a winter week on Dartmoor, dress up warm and walk the Dartmoor landscape, find remote pubs with big log fires or stay in one of the many Dartmoor Holiday cottages (best examples of pub would be the Warren House Inn or the Rugglestone Inn ). You can experience the eerie silence of the Moors while you move through the Snow (we still have snow)
The Dartmoor landscape changes from valley to moor when the snow comes; it’s hard to explain the feeling of just looking for miles and not seeing a sign of life, whistling to check whether you’ve gone deaf.

The Dartmoor pubs seem to step back in time in winter, ale and mulled wine, warm rooms wet people, steamed windows and log fires. Christmas lunch is still full of cheer and best wishes before a return with the family to Dinner and the waddle type walk many of us attempt after the feast.

Living through a Dartmoor winter is one thing, sampling a Dartmoor winter is a great thing, relax in the largest wilderness you can find.

Stay a while and unwind in one of the many remote luxury Dartmoor Holiday Cottages or Hotels.
