Dartmoor Curiosities

When you think of Dartmoor, and you think of its unique natural landscape...the tors on the high moor, the granite, the bogs, the moorland and its ponies it makes a stunning and unrivalled natural panoramic landscape.

Now look at the man made contribution and it makes Dartmoor even more unique, the eccentric architecture, hidden gardens, strange out of place windows in thatched cottages, arches and ruins are scattered liberally across the moor.

Look out for:

The Highwayman pub at Sourton, is a fine example of eccentricity which has been transformed over 40 years by its late owner, Buster Jones. It's probably the most amazingly bizarre pub in the country, let alone on Dartmoor.
