Purchased by Trevor & Diane Crouchen in July 2008, The
Dartmoor Lodge Hotel, Ashburton Devon is now back in private ownership.
Nestled on the edge of South Dartmoor, the Dartmoor Lodge Hotel is
easily accessible from The A38, midway between Exeter and Plymouth.
The friendly atmosphere of this family run business is proving
popular with both commercial and leisure clients. Our 'Hands on'
approach, with us working as part of the team, encourages our staff to
relax and converse in an efficient, polite manner, whilst retaining a
friendly, but professional service. We are immensely proud of our staff
and if you have checked out reviews of the Dartmoor Lodge will have
already noted that they receive well deserved praise. It is this Ethos
that we believe, encourages our guests to return time after time.
We are an ideal base for walkers & cyclists due to our close
proximity to Dartmoor and have been accredited by Visit England on the
'Welcome' schemes for Walkers and Cyclists.
A perfect base for canoeists wishing to enjoy the white water in the
area (River Dart) and select locations on Dartmoor. We are able to offer
a drying room for your kayaking suits.
Take a shopping trip to Exeter or Plymouth, visit the 'English
Riviera' or the stunning South Devon Coast, all of which are only 25
minutes away, or just come and relax.
All 23 en-suite rooms are well appointed and have Telephone, TV, Tea/Coffee making facilities Hairdryer & iron and board.
We have a good mix of Twin, Double & Single bedded rooms, four
family rooms each able to accommodate families of 3 or 4 people together
with Four Poster Rooms for that extra bit of Romance!
With oak beams and an inviting real fire in our Bar and Restaurant we
offer a real 'home from home' atmosphere, choose from either our light
meals or full a la carte menu, using 'genuine' locally grown and bred
produce. Members of CAMRA we have at least four well kept real Ales at
any one time, most of which are local to the area.
