Description This Award winning, beautiful family run park set in Dartmoor National Park with delightful views of Cox Tor. The River Tavy forms a boundary offering riverside camping and other level spacious pitches. Luxury self-catering caravan holiday homes, open all year. All self-catering units are of a very high standard, spacious and set well apart in scenic surroundings. Superior centrally heated and double glazed caravan holiday homes: 2 bedroom model sleep up to 6 3 bedroom model sleep up to 8 All are 12' wide and 35' long new or very recent models Most 2 bedroom caravan holiday homes have en suite toilet All holiday homes are double glazed and centrally heated : Lounge gas fire and full central heating throughout (included in the charge) Colour tv, teletext, cd music centre Full size cooker, microwave and fridge/freezer, toaster, electric kettle, all crockery and utensils Bed linen and duvets (please bring towels and tea towels) Picnic table, sun umbrella and patio by all units, car parking alongside Heat, light and all bedding included in charges. Full inventory will be sent with booking confirmation Tourers & Camping Welcome to this lovely, peaceful camping facility where you can be assured of warm personal care and attention. There are 120 pitches available for any mix of touring caravans, motor homes, trailer tents and tents. Included in our charges is free use of a hard tennis court, children's enclosed play area, table tennis and games' room (no slot machines), a quiet room with television and comprehensive library, a large recreation green for leisure facilities (in the interest of health and safety, football and hard ball games are prohibited throughout the whole park), a plentiful supply of picnic tables and 2 permanent barbecue facilities. All hot water and showers free of charge. General camping applies to the inner area of the main field Riverside pitches are always in demand and we advise advance bookings Hook-up pitches are situated along various boundaries and some copses Multi-service pitches of a limited number are situated in a specific area subject to availability Five all-year round fully serviced pitches on hard-standing. These are situated on the upper park area. All pitches are on a level plain with parking alongside for one car. Ducks are a real feature of this site! Several new runs have been built for them and they are breeding prolifically. Bird seed is sold in the shop (mainly for feeders, but it is likely that the ducks benefit too!) and the profits from this go to the RSPB. House sparrows are obviously thriving at Harford Bridge - they are breeding in nest boxes and around the buildings. Harford Bridge is part of a scheme through the Dartmoor Charter for Sustainable Tourism, which aims to encourage all establishments concerned with tourism to pledge to improve their own environment and to promote appreciation of Dartmoor. They were visited by the 'Wealth of Wildlife Project Officer' who drew up species lists and a nature trail for the site. Harford Bridge has taken a sympathetic and enthusiastic approach to the management of their site, accommodating visitors, wildlife (and ducks!) so colourfully and imaginatively.
