Lustleigh truly is a charming Dartmoor village to visit, central church stunning walks in all directions and thatched cottages make Lustleigh a must see and maybe stay village.
Be sure to wander round Lustleigh and not just to the tea shop, look out the common called Lustleigh Cleve, there is a fine range of rocks and crags; and near by is a logan stone, and some other Druidical remains. The manor was dismembered many years ago, the Church (St. John,) definitely worth a walk round and in it has a tower and four bells. On an ancient tomb lie the effigies of Lord and Lady Dinham, and upon another is the figure of a crusader, supposed to represent Sir Wm. Prowse. The font is Norman and the oak screen is finely carved. Lustleigh church has been repaired and beautified by the late and present incumbents.
