See, meet and touch over 150 animals, including our famous Miniature Shetland ponies and Miniature Mediterranean donkeys that foal throughout the spring and early summer. Also waiting to meet you are Gulliver, our Shire horse, Sapphire, our American miniature horse, and Chico, our spotted miniature horse.
As you explore the 20 acres of beautiful Dartmoor parkland you will meet lots of other friendly animals – pygmy goats, Saanen goat kids, Kune Kune pigs, Shetland sheep and lambs.
You can head to the Pets Paddock, where you can meet many smaller animals including rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils, mice, chipmunks and degus.
We pride ourselves on the environment and management of our animals, so there is no better way for children to safely be introduced to them than here.

There are lots of places where children of all ages can burn off all that endless energy. Dartmoor Castle Adventure Playground and Fort Bovey Indoor Assault Course are for older children. Younger children can choose between the Little Foals Play Park or HorsePlay, our indoor soft play area. Budding young farmers can test their tractor skills on our mini tractors. Why not bounce above it all on our trampolines (for all ages). Please note health and safety instructions for all play equipment. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.

A combination of habitats including hedges, pasture, wetlands, ponds and trees all add to the wildlife interest. Please take time to see our Willow Garden, where you can delight in the peaceful and attractive surroundings, observe the various insects and butterflies amongst the flowers and plants, and secretly watch the birds feeding.
