Description

A unique dog training centre located in the centre of the beautiful Dartmoor National Park offering residential courses for dogs and their owners and a variety of non residential training classes.

Moor K9 offers a very specialised and unique service, where you learn the “how’s” and “why’s” of your dogs behaviour, so that as a team you can understand each other to enable you both to gain the relationship you want as owner and dog!

Moor K9 is unique in the sense that you personally carry out the training your dog is in need of, under expert tuition and guidance. We feel that by doing the training, you will gain a higher success rate and will have the knowledge and an understanding with your dog to further your training when you go home!

All of our courses are divided into practical and theoretical training sessions; thus ensuring that your dog will get plenty of rest in between training sessions, while you continue to learn the intricacies of canine behaviour and communication.

After you complete the course and go home Moor K9 will still be there for you, to answer any questions or resolve any issues you may encounter free of charge via the telephone or email.

Residential Courses

Moor K9’s residential training courses are unique crash courses in dog behaviour modification. Whether you have a hyperactive, aggressive, or out of control dog or a dog that needs to learn some basic manners, our intensive week long course can set you up to create a successful relationship.

Moor K9 is unique in the sense that you will attend the course with your dog, so you both learn the skills needed, giving you a higher success rate when you go home.

Every course is made up of practical and theoretical sessions, so as your dog is learning new skills you are learning how he thinks, learns and communicates, creating a new understanding between you and resolving any issues you may have had.

Moor K9’s residential training is intended to give you all the support and information you need to modify your dog’s behaviour. You will be on a course with people with similar issues to your own, allowing you to help each other and at the same time make new friends.

Every course is kept small a maximum of six people, and is headed by a trainer and assistant trainer, to give you the most detailed and personal training possible. The courses are hard work, but our team strive to make the experience both fun and enjoyable for you and your dog.

The final day of the course will consist of a graduation test, followed by a celebratory send off.

The course price is all inclusive, which means it includes all the training, accommodation and three meals per day and our aftercare support. As we provide you with everything you need to maintain your relationship with your dog, it is a one off fee, no more need for trainers, and behaviour counsellors!!!

Puppy Training Courses

Moor K9 offers a variety of non residential training classes that run on a term basis of eight weeks. All of our classes are practical (hands on) and theoretical (discussions/tutorials), and are designed to be fun as well as informative.

Moor K9’s classes are a great way to socialise your dog no matter what its age, and provide the education you both need to create a successful relationship.

Moor K9’s range of classes is unique in the sense that not only will you learn how to train your dog, you will also learn about your dog’s behaviour, health and wellbeing.

To ensure that the courses are kept personal and enjoyable, the classes are kept small, to a maximum of six people, headed by a trainer and an assistant trainer.

Included in the price of the course, you will be provided with a manual containing useful articles and handouts of the training and exercises you have done, to recap for when you are at home.

On your final week of the course, you will take part in a mini test of all the training and receive a certificate on completion.
