Description
Pink cottage is a cosy, rural cottage, traditionally built from Dartmoor granite and situated in the “Middle Moor” in the pretty village of Ponsworthy.  It is ideally situated for walking Dartmoor or exploring by car and is a fine base from which to enjoy the tranquillity that Dartmoor provides.

The cottage is a cosy romantic escape from the outside world where you will not find a television, dishwasher or telephone (other than a public phone in the village 20 yards away).

If you have to give in then mobile phone signals are available at the top of the hill! The accommodation for four people includes a double bedroom upstairs and on the ground floor a sitting room, kitchen, bunk bedroom and bathroom (with a bath with an electric shower over it).

There is a secluded “cottage” garden to the rear of the property from which you can often watch buzzards circling whilst hearing the babbling of the West Webburn River.

Golf, pony trekking, fishing and other moorland activities are available locally and there are many picturesque walks from the front door, including the Two Moors Way and yes, you can even take the footpath to the Tavistock Inn at Poundsgate.  The Rugglestone at Venton Bridge near Widecombe is also within walking distance and both provide a variety of pub fare.

Widecombe–in-the–Moor is close by and offers a village shop and nearby Ashburton has a fine selection of shops.  The South Devon Coast is within easy reach by car.
