Poundsgate

A lovely little village at the start of some of Dartmoors finest walking, half a mile to the start of Dr Blackall's Drive that winds its way along the valley with amazing views over Holne woods and the River Dart. A fine pub awaits the weary "The Tavistock Inn". 

There is good riding nearby at Babeny Farm Stables if it's riding that lights your candle and you want to cover some ground across the moors without the effort of hiking.
