A luxury 5 star romantic cottage for couples wanting a holiday in the heart of Dartmoor.This completely re-built detached barn has been lovingly handcrafted with local oak finished to the top of the range specification, professionally designed and furnished to delight the most discerning visitor to Dartmoor. The uninterrupted views from the private garden and sun terrace over surrounding pastureland towards Dartmoor Tors are breathtakingly beautiful. This is a supremely peaceful place to stay, set just off a sleepy lane - and you may see Dartmoor Ponies passing the gate en route for the hills - yet you are within easy reach of many of South Devon's main attractions. A 5 Minute level walk takes you to the welcoming local pub, The Rugglestone Inn, which serves "real ale" and scrumptious food and the village of Widecombe-In-The- Moor, famous for its annual fair is a further 1/2 mile stroll. Visitors enjoy free-range eggs from our tiny flock of hens. Visit in Autumn or Winter for cosy evenings round the wood fire - and come to walk in all seasons in fabulously lovely Dartmoor countryside.
The double bedroom is beautifully equipped with a handmade oak king sized bed from Dartmoor Carpentry,  Egyptian cotton bed sheets and a sumptuously styled en-suite bathroom with a double ended roll top bath. Fluffy towels are provided. With energy conservation in mind there is endless supplies of hot water from a mixture of solar power and gas fired heating. A cot can be provided.
The oak and granite kitchen, by Dartmoor Carpentry, is fully equipped and includes a dishwasher, microwave and washer / dryer.
Widecombe Cottage is stylishly furnished throughout and the living room has comfortable settees, oak flooring, beautiful rugs, central wood burner, LCD TV, DVD player and music centre. A wide selection of DVDs is provided if you fancy a night in by the fire.
